On Excursions 3, Haze City moves away from Broken Beat and voyages into Footwork/Footwork inspired music.

The title track 'Flashback (Back In The Day) features 808 beats and instead of using cut up old soul samples, Haze City plays a house style synth and Fender Rhodes keyboard to create a soulful piece of Footwork.

The second track 'Goooooo' features footwork style chopped up vocals, over a house/broken beat style synth which is driven again by the 808 drum machine.
